In 2019, Octavio and Oswaldo embarked on OM2 reDESIGN Build, a design+build company focused on transforming homes through innovative designs and meticulous craftsmanship. Since its launch, the company has grown profitable and successfully maintained its presence in Houston’s competitive market. Octavio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from the University of Houston. Additionally, he earned a Master of Fine Arts in 3D Animation and Visual Effects from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City, blending artistic precision with technical expertise in his projects. His methodology emphasizes cost and material analysis, finding the ideal balance of strength and value for each project’s scope. Before dedicating himself full-time to OM2, Octavio honed his architectural skills at top distinguished firms, including Handel Architects, Clark Design Group, Mac Andrews and Forbes Inc., and Rhode Partners. He gained the majority of his architectural experience in New York City before relocating to Houston in 2019 to open his own design+build practice. He runs the business alongside his life partner, who handles all the interior design aesthetics of every project. Specializing in single-family homes, Octavio’s portfolio consists of 80% full home renovations and transformations, with the remaining 20% focused on custom new home designs and construction. Additionally, OM2 takes on personal residential projects for fix-and-flip ventures, acquiring properties, renovating them, and placing them on the market to further expand the company’s portfolio. His integrated approach, combining both design and construction phases under one contract, ensures a seamless process from start to finish. Octavio personally manages each project, overseeing every detail to maintain the highest quality and client satisfaction. Inspired by his father, a residential contractor who took him to job sites as a child, Octavio has always had a deep passion for architecture and construction.
