With more than 16 years of experience in architecture, design, and residential construction, Octavio Miranda founded OM2 reDESIGN Build to bring a more thoughtful and integrated approach to remodeling in Houston. As an architect and design-build professional, Octavio combines architectural expertise, creative design, and hands-on construction experience to transform existing homes into spaces that are both beautiful and functional. At OM2, design and construction work together from the beginning, giving homeowners one team, one contact, and one contract from the initial concept through completion.

A Background Built on Architecture

Octavio earned his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from the University of Houston, followed by a Master of Fine Arts in 3D Animation and Visual Effects from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. His professional background includes architectural and design experience with established firms including Handel Architects, Clark Design Group, MacAndrews & Forbes, and Rhode Partners, with much of his architectural experience gained in New York City. That combination of architectural education and professional experience continues to influence the way OM2 approaches residential remodeling today.

From Architecture to Remodeling

After developing his architectural career in New York, Octavio returned to Houston in 2019 and launched OM2 reDESIGN Build with a clear goal: to create a better connection between design and construction for homeowners. Rather than treating remodeling as simply updating finishes or replacing individual rooms, OM2 approaches each project as an opportunity to rethink how a home functions, looks, and feels. Our work includes kitchen and bathroom renovations, whole-home remodeling, home additions, and custom residential transformations.

Octavio’s connection to construction began long before OM2. Growing up, he was exposed to the residential construction industry through his father, a contractor who brought him to job sites and introduced him to the building process from an early age. That early exposure, combined with years of architectural training and professional experience, helped shape the way Octavio approaches remodeling today: with the mindset of an architect and the practical perspective of someone who understands how things are built.
